It Takes Guts to Fight Obesity

This is what our community is like....

Last week, students from Baldwin Park's "Healthy Teens on The Move" - who are also founding Youth Leaders for Youth Activism Against Obesity's (YAAO) WereFedUp.com online social network - took some pictures and commented about their surroundings. This process helps youth describe their environment and empowers them to consider solutions! This process is called Photovoice.

In the next few months, Baldwin Park youth will be using these photos to influence schools, city leaders, and other decision makers to pursue the solutions they propose!

there are lot of environments that need help. We are beginning a Photovoice contest in the next few days. This can give you the opportunity take some pictures of East LA that help describe the problems that people there are faced with. Of course....you may not want to take pictures of gangsters...that may not go well with them.

I 100% agree on this but you haven't been to East Los. Theres wayyyyy more horrible stuff than this right here. Just the other day when i was with some friends skating and these gangmemders ask "Where you from!?" and give your money and started saying some very weird language stuff that i didn't even hear in spanish class. Well enough of me. Thanks
