OK, so I had already posted
this commercial that makes Sunny D look all good for the kids and such, and makes moms everywhere feel good about buying Sunny D.
But
it's not 100% real fruit juice, the list of actual ingredients reads as follows (in descending order of quantity): WATER, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
AND 2% OR LESS OF EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: CONCENTRATED JUICES (ORANGE, TANGERINE, APPLE, LIME, GRAPEFRUIT), CITRIC ACID, ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C), THIAMIN HYDROCHLORIDE (VITAMIN B1), NATURAL FLAVORS, MODIFIED CORNSTARCH, CANOLA OIL, SODIUM CITRATE, CELLULOSE GUM, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM, NEOTAME, SODIUM HEXAMETAPHOSPHATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE AND SODIUM BENZOATE TO PROTECT FLAVOR, YELLOW #5, YELLOW #6.
Read The Label: Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup and 2% or Less Juice???

Did you catch those last two ingredients?
THAT'S YELLOW FOOD COLORING!!! Because they have to make sugar water look like orange juice, so they color it.
The saddest part is that they stock Sunny D right next to the real 100% orange juice, so you just assume it's 100% juice too.
Check out the Sunny D on the bottom center shelf, below the other juices that are for real.

Would you know the difference just by looking?
It's tricky isn't it?
