SB1420

My summer project was to follow up on SB 1420. I wanted to make sure the restaurants are meeting their requirments. I also wrote about each restaurants and my experience. The SB1420 means that every restaurants in california should have a calories brochure about their food. They also should have it on thier menu but it wont be affected untill January 1.2011. Over 17,000 restaurants will be affecected by the SB1420. Theres two phases to this. On July 1.2009 - December 31.2010 restaurants must provide a brochure at the point of sales. The brochure should provide at least with calories,sodium,saturated fats,and carbonydrates. The second phase is affected on January 1.2011, Calories must be listed on menus and menu boreds next to the item. Drive thurs shall continue to have a brochure available upon request and must have a notice that the information is available.
