It Takes Guts to Fight Obesity

Hey everyone!, a little detail about me, i've been working with CCPHA (California Center for Public Health Advocacy) on the Healthy Selection.

For those who don't know, Healthy Selection was started by The Corner store Conversion task-force. There are exactly 8 corner stores that are part of the Healthy Selection, Which is putting up signs on fruits and vegetables or any food that complies with the SB12 and SB 965.

The Stores involved are:

7-Eleven by Bess Ave.

Smart & Final by Baldwin Park Blvd.

Jays Market by Ramona Blvd.

JnJ Liquor by Baldwin Park Blvd.

Mercado Del Pueblo by Ramona Blvd.

El Mambi by Francisquito

Vallarta by Ramona Blvd.

La Blanquita by Los Angeles St.

So if you need help finding "Healthy Food" check the corner stores because they do have the healthy selection ;-)

Also a lot of signs that are put in the stores still are work in progress but it is enough to be visualized.

The logo, as many of you might know, was designed in a local teen art contest. In Baldwin Park!

So these signs can be seen in stores, in certain aisles so you know which is the healthy food.
