Dannon Opens Application Period for Next Generation Nutrition Grants
The Dannon Company has announced that applications are available for its fifth annual Dannon Next Generation Nutrition Grants.
Dannon will award grants of $30,000 each to four nonprofits for programs that support childhood nutrition education and promote healthy eating habits among children within each of the four communities where a Dannon facility is located — Salt Lake County, Utah; Tarrant County, Texas; Westchester County, New York; and Shelby, Mercer, Darke, and Auglaize counties in Ohio.
Each organization that receives a grant creates a program that helps children develop life-long habits for good nutrition and exercise.
To qualify for funding, organizations must be designated as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and must already be engaged in a nutrition education program for children up to age 18, or be able to launch such an initiative in 2010.
