Apparently people still dont see the harm that this is doing on peoples health. People are so used to it it's kind of hard to pry people off something they normally do and while people gain weight the more the sales the fast food restaurants are getting.

When I lived in San Diego, I used to work for my dad fixing up cars for car shows. It was a pretty fun job and I always liked seeing the end product. Working on cars though, can really make you work up a sweat and of course you get really thirsty! Luckily, right next door to my dad's shop is a convenient store that sells fountain drinks. At least twice a day, the guys and I would wash out our own soft drink containers and take them to the convenient store for a fill-up on our sodas.…

Okay, so yesterday I quickly rushed to the local grocery store at Baldwin Park. Although it was not one of the grocery stores I am familiar with, I was surprised at some of the prices of delicious fruits and vegetables they offered. By the time I made it to the checkout stand, I had put in my basket a wide variety of fruits and vegetables for over 20 people. Thinking that healthy food is always more expensive than unhealthy food, I braced for the…

I was looking at various supermarket advertisments that my parents got by mail and I noticed that there were mnay diffrent sales that week but they were mostly all for junck food like cookies, cakes, chips,sodas,etc.... I asked myself should'nt the more healthier fods be that most inexpensive? And then the mayor asks himself why Baldwin Park is one of the cities that have the highest obesity levels. A few weeks ago I got the city's newspaper and there was an article that was for H.E.A.C and… Continue

this commercial that makes Sunny D look all good for the kids and such, and makes moms everywhere feel good about buying Sunny D.

it's not 100% real fruit juice, the list of actual ingredients reads as follows (in descending order of quantity): WATER, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP

Here's a link to a pretty scary new blog where people post photographs of actual dishes that are served to them in real restaurants across the U.S. Many of the photos are pretty outrageous and the dishes are so excessive they seem like a joke--but they're not. It really makes you think about how excessive the portion sizes have become in this country (not to mention the quality of the food selections). Check it out and prepare to be amazed...

So you don't have a gym or a public park close by to get some exercise? There are many other ways to keep your body moving every day. Some of these tips may seem silly, but they're based on common sense: the more you move, the more calories you burn. That's good enough for me.
Some Tips
• Take the Stairs - Yep, that's right. Elevators can get you there quicker, but stairs work your booty better. So next time you find yourself pushing that elevator…

Check this out. CNN reporter Anderson Cooper did a segment on Olympic swimming gold medalist Michael Phelps and they videotaped him giving a tour of his town house in Baltimore. The Kellogg's Cereal company had just paid him millions of dollars to endorse their Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes cereals.
The only problem was, as Michael was giving the cameras a tour of his kitchen, he had Honey Nut Cheerios in his cabinet INSTEAD OF THE CORN FLAKES THAT HE WAS PAID MILLIONS TO ENDORSE.…

It's no coincidence that most fast food TV commercials come on between 6 to 8 PM. Because they know it's dinnertime, when most people are coming home from work/school hungry, and if they can get you to watch the Domino's pizza, or KFC, BK, McD's or whatever on TV, you'll be like, "OMG, get the phone and let's order some takeout."
The tough part is, that's also the time a lot of people are trying to get some exercise. So if you're exercising while you're watching TV, and all you see…

Why is it that the eggs, milk, butter, and meats are always at the back of the supermarket?
Because supermarkets know it's the stuff you really need. They do this on purpose, so you have to walk through the aisles with the junk food to get to the stuff you really need!!! They want you to look at all the colorful packaging and buy the stuff that's not good for you first!!!
To get to the dairy case in the back, you have to go through the cookies &… Continue
