New menu and vending machines labeling requirements.

The president signed the health care reform legislation law. Also on March 23.2010 the affordable care act became law. The act requires vending machines operators who owns or operate 20 or more vending machines to disclose calorie content for certain items. FDA requires by law to issue regulations to carry out these provisions by March 23.2011.

SB1420

My summer project was to follow up on SB 1420. I wanted to make sure the restaurants are meeting their requirments. I also wrote about each restaurants and my experience. The SB1420 means that every restaurants in california should have a calories brochure about their food. They also should have it on thier menu but it wont be affected untill January 1.2011.
