Hello World! I'm destiny clark an active member of the Youth Activism Against Obesity Campaign. I currently live in South Central Los Angeles where i was born and raised . I am a pretty reserved type of girl who loves to spend time with family and friends, I love to meet new people and help out in my community. One of my main goals while participating in YAAO is to inspire other youths like me as well as the community to live a healthier lifestyle ,and doing that by getting them involved in there community. The biggest problem, mainly in the minority community is that there arent enough fresh produce or healthy foods being offered in the super markets or at the local food chains and the food that is being provided is convient and cheap but unhealthy, and in result it leads to obesity and other type of diseases that can put your health at risk. YAAO has seen this as a serious problem that needs to be changed! Personally i am proud to say that while participating in YAAO i have grown and it has made me think about the decisions i make when eating in my community and how it
effects me now and how it will effect me in my future.
Since i have been in YAAO i have started to make more wise decions about what i put into my body and have learned how to balance that along with how active i should be on a daily basis.
The YAAO Campaign has come to your rescue! YAAO is an awesome movement, youth leaders trying to make a change in there community, what can be better than that! If you have any ?'s or just wanna get involved dont hesitate contact one of the YAAO leaders NOW! and start making a change.

When most people think of healthy food they automatically know that it can be good for you but when they think about eating it they think that it can also taste nasty. I've heard kids say that they dont like healthy foods because its "White food" or it taste nasty. If we teach younger kids about the importance of eating h… Continue

hi destiny! i'm good. so happy it's the weekend so i don't have to get up early. i've been working with some summer ROE student workers in the garden this last week, which has been nice. i hope they've been enjoying it--it's hard to tell sometimes. i feel bad that's it's been so hot! how's your summer job treating you? when do you move to the dorms and start classes?
